First Annual Christmas Event
at Canby Grove
Canby Grove is Lighting up the trees and creating a fun, festive atmosphere for people of all ages to enjoy a wonderful holiday adventure.
Admission for our inaugural year is FREE for the whole family.
The festival begins at 5:00 and ends at 10PM.
Come and go as you desire.
All activities are indoors except campfire, smores and grilled bratwurst.
FOOD: Stop by the Canby Grove Kitchen and enjoy a bite in our warm dining room or take your dinner and stroll through the Festival....
Food will be available for purchase from 5-9pm Snacks will be available for purchase from 5-10pm.
CAMPFIRE: A campfire in the center of our grounds will be burning all evening. Gather around to meet new friends or roast some marshmellows.
S'mores Packs will be available for purchase or bring your own and cook them over an open fire.
LIVE MUSIC: All evening the grounds will have the sounds of Christmas music playing. Our feature band is Casey McGill & The Spirits of Rhythm Swing Band. Casey McGill and his swing band is based out of Seattle and is one of the NW Premier swing bands. You will not be able to see them with no admission fee anywhere. You do not want to miss this. Fun for the whole family. (see schedule of events below)
MOVIES: Favorite Christmas children's classics will be shown while eating popcorn and frosting cookies.
Open from 5:00-9:30 (Sugar Cookies graciously donated by Custforth Thriftway in Canby)
CRAFTS: Christmas crafts are planned for the whole family and will be open and available from 5pm to 8pm while supplies last. Crafts include a really fun Christmas booklet to personalize and give to family and friends (Perfect for gift card giving) wood burning, and simple crafts for young children. Each child may do one of each craft. The first 25 adults who desire to take part, will have the chance to be guided by Lori Mayo in making a beautiful centerpiece with greenery fresh-cut on Canby Grove grounds. (A great addition to your holiday festivities)
SCAVENGER HUNT: Look for the Twelve Days of Christmas throughout the grounds. Get them all and win a small prize.
FIRESIDE STORIES: 6:45, 7:45 and 8:45 (15 min each)
PARKING: Carpool with friends if possible. Grounds, where parking, may be wet. Casual attire and easy shoes is a good plan for the evening. Parking attendants will guide your car in the front entrance and to your parking space.
